Berlin – UAE Ambassador to Germany Jumaa Mubarak Al Jeneibi asserted Wednesday the government's support to the tourism sector in all emirates, being an important component of the UAE economy.
The statement came while inspecting Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) stand at ITB Berlin 2015, where he met with ATDD General Manager Faisal Al Nuaimi, who leads Ajman delegation to the international exhibition.
The UAE ambassador also launched an e-copy of Ajman Encyclopedia, issued by ATDD, and lauded a decision by HH Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, to assign ATDD with producing the encyclopedia.
"Ajman Encyclopedia, issued both in Arabic and English, is a distinguished documentation of the life, heritage and history of Ajman," Al Jeneibi reiterated, voicing hope a German version of the work would be available soon.
The UAE ambassador in Berlin also praised ATDD's keenness on annual participation in ITB Berlin, being one of the leading gatherings for tourism industry specialists from all over the world, noting that Ajman's presence enhances its efforts to lure more tourists and tourism investors to the emirate.
For his part, the ATDD general manager said his department was eager to meet with representatives of major travel companies in Europe, especially Germany, to let them know more about cultural diversity and quality services in the tourism establishments in Ajman.
As for launching the e-copy of Ajman Encyclopedia, Al Nuaimi clarified that ATDD received a large number of requests to get copies of it, whether from researchers or public and private sector companies, a matter that necessitated offering the e-copy.
A year-long media campaign coincided with the issuing of Ajman Encyclopedia, Al Nuaimi added.
ATDD is currently leading Ajman's delegation to ITB-Berlin 2015. Also present among the delegation are representatives of major hospitality sector operators.
