Ajman – Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) Chairman Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi witnessed late Monday the annual ceremony of ATDD, held at Ajman Saray Hotel.

ATDD General Manager Faisal Al Nuaimi said the event, celebrating corporate achievements in 2014, came as part of efforts to enhance a healthy working environment for all ATDD personnel.

Thanks to efforts of ATDD staff, the authority managed to render several projects a success, including the issuance of all legislations serving the development of the tourism sector in Ajman, the second phase of tourism classification systems, tourism licensing systems and tourism inspections.

A comprehensive promotion plan on tourism in Ajman was launched on the local and international levels during 2014, and a database for tourism statistics was now available to serve all economic sectors, according to ATDD general manager.

Major cultural and economic projects were also finalized, including the Ajman Tourism Investment Map and Ajman Encyclopedia, he said, adding that 40 percent of ATDD services became online.

During the event, ATDD Strategy and Performance Development Office announced that ATDD and Ajman Museum were both certified by the International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001/2008 for the quality of processes and services, while ATDD Chairman Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid launched the newly-developed ATDD Strategic Chart.
