Ajman – For the first time, Ajman will take part in the World Travel Market 2014, to be held in the British capital London on November 3-6.
The delegation, to be led by Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) General Manager Faisal Al Nuaimi, will include Ajman Chamber, Ajman Saray hotel, Kempinski Hotel Ajman, Ramada Hotels and Suites Ajman, Crown Palace hotel and Ewan hotel apartments.
To this end, ATDD sponsored a preparatory meeting, with all members of Ajman delegation to WTM attending. The meeting, held at Ajman Museum's Sheikh Humaid Hall, went over ways to render Ajman's first participation in WTM a success.
Many fruitful ideas were raised by representatives of Ajman hospitality sector to help lure more visitors to Ajman's WTM stand, Hind Al Marzooqi, ATDD's Head of Marketing and Promotion Section said.
Ajman's participation in such an important event comes as part of efforts to achieve Ajman Vision 2021 targets of stabilizing the emirate's image as a distinguished tourism destination, she added.
ATDD also targets attracting more tourists to Ajman in the coming years, especially European visitors, Al Marzooqi said, noting that the exhibition is expected to gather the most influential figures in the travel industry from around the world.
The event, moreover, is considered a good opportunity to review the developments in the various travel sectors and get posted on the latest insights, trends and knowledge serving the rapid development in the establishment of travel agencies, she concluded.
