Moscow – Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) launched a marketing campaign on the emirate’s cultural and heritage potentials on the first day of the International Russian Travel Market, held in the capital Moscow on September 16 through 19.
Ajman takes part in this international exhibition upon directives from Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, ATDD Chairman, who affirmed the importance of utilizing such an important event in attracting large numbers of visitors from Russia and the CIS market to Ajman, according to Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of ATDD and head of the official Ajman delegation.
Ajman stand at the exhibition drew a large turnout, Al Nuaimi said, noting that ATDD, for the first time, was showing rare Quranic manuscripts dated back to the ninth hijri century.
ATDD also produced an Emarati version of the famous Russian Matryoshka doll to lure more visitors to its stand at the exhibition, expected to attract more than 60,000 visitors over four days, Al Nuaimi clarified.
ATDD will announce tomorrow morning the statistics of Ajman hospitality sector for the second quarter of 2014, he noted.
